About this event
The event runs as a 36-hour hybrid hackathon across two calendar days โ Saturday, August 1 is the 24-hour online phase, followed by Sunday, August 2, the 12-hour onsite finale โ with 100 teams of 3 students each building functional prototypes across nine challenge domains: Traffic & Transportation, Safety & Security, Women's Safety, Employment, Education, GHMC & Civic Services, Tourism & Culture, Growing Startups & Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare & Public Health. Each team picks one domain and one segment, then develops a working, technology-driven solution with mentor support throughout. Projects are judged on problem relevance, innovation, functionality, user experience, feasibility, scalability, and measurable impact. Prizes: ๐ฅ โน30,000 ยท ๐ฅ โน20,000 ยท ๐ฅ โน10,000 โ plus certificates, mentorship, incubation referrals, and interview opportunities for standout teams. Up to 10 high-performing participants may also be selected for post-event internships or project fellowships. Hack4Hyderabad is being planned in collaboration with the Malkajgiri Commissionerate, Rachakonda Police, Telangana Police, the Government of Telangana, and academic institutions, startups, NGOs, and technology communities across the city. Venue and confirmed partners are still being finalized.
